| The Historic Hotel Revere, Main
Street at 7th Street, in Pomeroy, Washington. The two-story building
(right) was built in 1886. The three-story building (left) was started in
August, 1888, and completed in 1891. The three-story building replaced a
two-story wooden hotel and is built built on the same basalt rock
foundation. The Hotel is currently being restored to its early 20th
Century grandeur by Beverly and John Gordon, owners of Castlemoyle Books.

from a booklet published in 1908 to entice businesses to move to Pomeroy
and Garfield County. Pictures and text from the booklet will be uploaded
to the Pomeroy site in the future.

This picture of Pomeroy is taken from Dutch Flats. The Hotel Revere is the red brick building with a circle around it at about "10:00". The beautiful Garfield County Courthouse is just to the left at the end of the road in the center of the picture. Located in the south-eastern part of Washington State, Pomeroy is a friendly little community of approximately 1,250 residents. Pomeroy is the county seat for Garfield County, which is composed of some 2,800 people in 714 square miles. You can visit the site of the Pomeroy Historic Committee.
